Nowadays, have a Discord is important for any gaming community. One of my main approaches as Community Manager is being approchable and, Discord is one of my best cards for it.
As Community Manager, I have set up Discord Servers from scratch but also improved existing ones. In all cases, my intention was to bring players, volunteers and staff sharing a clear structure to easy navigate and manage as it grew.
Every game had a proper study in base the community needs and managedment, but there are some basic ideas where players can engage with Staff, meet new players, stay up to date about the latest news and sales but also hot and trending topics, participate in community events and share feedback about the game or report issues.
From channel organisation and permissions to moderation workflows and automation tools. The goal was to make everything more intuitive for users and less manual for the team behind it.
